We are very happy to be included in the exhibition PARTIZIPATION – POLITIK DER GEMEINSCHAFT at Salzburger Kunstverein questioning the “participatory turn” in contemporary art. We believe that our projects, especially the Complaints Choir can provide an interesting case study to look at the key issues and problems within the field of participatory art.

Our video work on nightmarish situations at work took part in a group exhibition Common Things at Kiasma.

In relation to the organisation of Rotterdam Complaints Choirs North and South the video installation with previous choirs will be shown at TENT – Centre for Visual Arts in Rotterdam within the group exhibition “THE PEOPLE UNITED WILL NEVER BE DEFEATED”. It examines the relationships between art and politics.

I Love My Job Part 1 is shown at Tallinn Art Hall in an exciting group show, titled BLUE-COLLAR BLUES. Curator Anders Härm has brought together projects that specifically deal with the topic of work in contemporary society.

We are proud to be the artists of the 10th edition of the Mori Art Museum’s Project MAM PROJECT 10- Tellervo Kalleinen & Oliver Kochta-Kalleinen. This series of solo exhibitions introduces young artists to Japan. In the exhibition we will show the final installation with eight Complaints Choirs from around the world. The exhibition will also feature the premiere of the Tokyo Complaints Choir. See www.complaintschoir.org.

We are participating in an interesting group show at the Shedhalle in Zürich, examing the concept of community in our times: IM/POSSIBLE COMMUNITY. We show The Making of Utopia and the Complaints Choir of Birmingham. Shedhalle will also organize their own complaints choir.

We are taking part to a group exhibition at Wysing Arts Centre in Cambridge, with an intriguing title GENEROSITY IS THE NEW POLITICAL.
Our latest Project “DREAMLAND” has its premiere at Taidehalli on Thursday August 20, 6 pm. For the project we asked people to send in dreams they have seen about the President. We dramatized and filmed 20 out of 85 submitted dreams.
