Tellervo Kalleinen and Oliver Kochta-Kalleinen merge art mediums and approaches, such as cinema, performance, game design and facilitation. They share a deep interest in the questions of participation, which they also reflect it in their book Conversation Park (published 2022 in collaboration with Lönnström Art Museum).
Their collaboration started in 2003 as curators of Amorph! 03 -performance festival and they became known as the founders of the International Complaints Choir project (2005-), which have later spread around the world as an open source concept. Since then they have made numerous projects, which all base on participation and creative collaboration. The duo was awarded with AVEK media art award (2012) and Ars Fennica (2014).
In addition to their work as a duo, they have always worked in other collectives as well. As a member of The Speech Karaoke Action Group (2010-) Oliver organises Speech Karaoke events. He is also a member of Social Tools, which organises peer learning events around decentralised methods and best practices in the field of art and activism. Tellervo is a member of artist group JOKAklubi. They both are founding members of YKON. Their production platform is called Studio Kalleinen.
