{"id":928,"date":"2017-12-11T18:46:10","date_gmt":"2017-12-11T16:46:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/studiokalleinen.net\/?p=928"},"modified":"2018-04-23T11:33:44","modified_gmt":"2018-04-23T09:33:44","slug":"kalleinen-kochta-kalleinens-idea-was-chosen-by-the-lonnstrom-art-museum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/studiokalleinen.net\/?p=928","title":{"rendered":"COMMON GROUND \u2013 A PUBLIC SPACE GAME @ RAUMA, FINLAND (2018-2020)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We\u00a0are happy to announce that our project proposal, submitted\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0open call\u00a0of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lonnstrommuseums.fi\/commonground\">L\u00f6nnstr\u00f6m Art Museum<\/a>, was selected.\u00a0The generous production sum of 150 000 euro allowed us to think big, and we developed the concept\u00a0COMMON GROUND \u2013 A Public Space Game.<\/p>\n<p data-pm-context=\"[]\">We\u00b4ll invite 36 people to turn an appointed piece of land into a public park within a two year process. The design process has six\u00a0devolvement stages, which we call &#8220;the moves&#8221;.\u00a0The 36 people are representative for the age distribution in\u00a0the area.<\/p>\n<p data-pm-context=\"[]\">The project is a journey from individual visions into a collective process. For each of the moves the\u00a0participants can use 200 euro each. In the first move\u00a0the participants implement their individual ideas to their own small plot, basing on their own\u00a0vision of the park. The\u00a0moves 2-5\u00a0bring them into interaction with the ideas of the other participants, and they can choose whether to continue working alone or combine\u00a0ideas, plots and the money\u00a0with some fellow participants. The move 6 is a collective one, and it\u00a0takes place only if the group has a consensus of what to do with 14000 euro. When the park is ready, we\u00b4ll celebrate!<\/p>\n<p data-pm-context=\"[]\">Locals and the internet audience can follow how the park develops. The interviews, which are done before and after the process, capture the participants\u00b4thoughts about ownership, differences and collective decision making.
